Bios

• Robert Efron

  DVM

  The former owner of our practice, Dr Efron has been a veterinarian here since 1979. He resides in West Hartford with his wife Sharon and enjoys spending all his downtime outside of work with his wife, children and grandchildren. Outside of work, his favorite activities include traveling, cycling, ice climbing, running, hiking and swimming.

• Krystian Dabrowski

  DVM

  Dr.Dabrowski joined our practice in 2009. He grew up in nearby Berlin, CT. After finishing Berlin High School, he obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Connecticut. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical training at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Dabrowski was first introduced to our hospital and its outstanding staff during a two week externship and was highly impressed with the quality of medicine that we offered. Dr. Dabrowski also speaks fluent Polish. Outside of work, Dr.Dabrowski enjoys traveling, and shares his life with his wife and their dogs, Celina and Jasmine.

• Geoffrey Frattini

  DVM

  Dr. Geoff Frattini earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 1998. He then completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital in Springfield, MA. A Connecticut native, Dr. Frattini returned home and joined VCA Cromwell Animal Hospital in 1999.

• Leslie Lynch

  DVM

  Dr. Leslie Lynch recived her DVM degree from the University of Georgia in 1983. Following graduation, DR. Lynch and her husband David moved to the Finger Lakes region of NY where she accepted a position at a small animal practice in Rochester. In 1985, a job transfer brought them to Connecticut, and Dr. Lynch joined Cromwell Veterinary Hospital as Dr. Efron's first associate veterinarian, and later business partner. The Lynchs reside in Higganum with their cats (Barbara Jane & Norman) and 2 dogs (Woody & Pinot). Dr. Lynch's mom, Barbara, and her cat Sky share the "in-law" apartment. Favorite leisure activities include bicycle touring on their tandem, hiking, kayaking and winter sports such as cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Dr. Lynch will be retiring in March 2014.

• Dan Hurley

  DVM

  Dr. Dan Hurley grew up in Cranston, RI, and then completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Duke University in Durham, NC in 1997. He returned to the northeast to earn his doctorate at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, in 2001, where he met his future wife and fellow veterinarian, Dr. Suzanne Gerber. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the MSPCA Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital in Springfield, MA, Dr. Hurley moved to Connecticut and joined the Cromwell Animal Hospital and Kennels staff in 2002. Outside of the office, Dr. Hurley spends time with his family hiking and letterboxing, sailing, cooking and wine-tasting, and is an avid college basketball and football fan. They share their home with a cat named Georgia.

• Melissa Alexander

  DVM

  Dr. Alexander earned her Bachelor of Science in Pathobiology from the University of Connecticut in 2007, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, having completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University. After graduation, Dr. Alexander returned to Connecticut to practice and joined VCA Cromwell Animal Hospital in 2013. Outside of the office, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, scuba diving, polo and spending time with her family. She shares her home with 3 mixed breed rescue dogs.
